Mountainside is just above (south) of Golden Valley on the A5 Lake Highway (or Highland Lakes Road). When driving from Deloraine Post Office in the main street of town simply cross the bridge over the Meander River, turn immediately right onto Highland Lakes Road and travel for 18km to reach Mountainside. There is a left hand turn bay 6km from Deloraine that needs to be taken in order to stay on the A5.
Please note that there are no shops at Golden Valley, the nearest being at Deloraine.
